CROSS COUNTRY

The Wolverines’ Cross Country team traveled White Oak Park near Pittsburgh to compete in the annual Red White & Blue Classic. The Wolverines were led by 4 individuals who finished in the top 25 - Drew Steffler (16), Bradley Custer (17), Colten Crizer (18), Nick Wise (21) - who as a team finished 3rd overall at the Class A level. Up next is a date with the New Brighton Lions as they begin section play.

GOLF

The Wolverines’ Golf team officially had only one match on the week, and it was a big one - Mohawk. Unfortunately, the Wolverines would fall short 183-201, even though they posted once again a great road score. The Wolverines fall to 6-3 (5-3) on the season and will have to beat Neshannock this upcoming week for a chance at team playoffs.

SOCCER

EC Soccer continued their season back at Helling Stadium against the Beaver Bobcats. ECS was on the call while also pulling double-duties with the scoring and playcalling at the stadium. The Wolverines improved on defense, but played most of the match under the 11 player mark during the game, losting 10-0 to the Bobcats. Up next for the Wolverines is a journey down I-79 to the Avonworth Antelopes.

GIRLS TENNIS

The Lady Wolverines had another tough week as the Beaver County teams continue to prevail. First, the Wolverines played host to Sewickley Academy and then followed up on the week with a journey to Central Valley. Both matches finished 5-0 in favor of the Panthers and the Warriors respectively. The Wolverines are now 1-4 (0-4) on the season and will look to a matchup against rival Riverside on Monday.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Volleyball picked up where they left off last week with two big wins - Tuesday at Riverside and Thursday at Mohawk. Both results were in favor of the Wolverines in straight sets, 3-0. The Lady Wolverines are now 4-1 (2-0) on the early season and sit atop the section. Up next for the Wolverines is a trip to Neshannock where they will take on a tough matchup against the Lancers on Tuesday.

Middle School Football

Middle School Football kicked off their season with a trip to the Union Scotties. The Wolverines put up a good fight in the first half, taking a 6-0 lead, but were outscored 24-6 in the second half. Up next for the Wolverines is Week 2 against Shenango on Wednesday, back home at Helling Stadium.
