CROSS COUNTRY

Cross Country continues to be impressive to start the year as they picked up two more victories on the season at Laurel High School Tri-Meet. EC defeated Laurel (20-39) as well as Freedom on the day as Crizer, Custer, Wise, and Steffler finished 3rd thru 6th respectively.

GOLF

Golf finished off section play with a big victory over Laurel (206-227) on Thursday while WPIAL Individual qualifiers got under way as EC hosted the event at Delmar on Tuesday. The Wolverines will be sending four individuals to the First Round of WPIAL Individuals on Monday - Jordan Keller (+1), Mitch Covert (+2), Carson Cappello (+11), and Jaxon Rozanski (+13).

SOCCER

Soccer dropped back-to-back matches on the road this week. EC lost to Quaker Valley (12-0) as well as Mohawk (15-0). The Wolverines will be back at home on Tuesday that will be covered live by ECS.

GIRLS TENNIS

Girls Tennis had a tough match on Monday as they dropped a decision against the Neshannock Lancers (4-1). The Wolverines will finish off section play on Monday as Beaver Falls has agreed to play at the Ewing Park Courts for a home match for EC.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Volleyball continues to battle on the season as they split their matches on the week. EC took a very tough 5-set loss on Tuesday at Laurel (3-2) while bouncing back at home in convincing fashion over Beaver Falls (3-0). EC starts the upcoming week in third place in section play at 6-3 (4-2).

Middle School Football

Middle School Football continues to struggle on offense, but was able to make this week’s football match a little interesting late as they scored a touchdown with just under 2 minutes left in the game. Unfortunately, the squib kick was recovered by New Brighton to seal the win in favor of the Lions 14-7. EC falls to 0-3 on the season and will look to bounce back this week at Laurel.
