The Wolverines most of their runners during the day, but still had some success. The team overall finished in 9th Place. Up next is the Tri-State Meet where the Wolverines will be back in action to start setting placements for the state playoffs.

Avonworth, Quaker Valley, Beaver, and Hopewell all clinched playoff spots, another clean sweep by Beaver County teams.

Soccer season complete.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Volleyball had a down and up week, starting with a brutal loss to Shenango to keep the Wildcats in reach for a possible swap of third and fourth place in the section. But the Wolverines bounced back against a scrappy Laurel team to win in straight sets (3-0). With the victory against the Spartans, the Wolverines (10-5) along with the Wildcats (8-4) clinch playoffs with now just the third and fourth spot to be determined in the last week of play. The Wolverines will close out the regular season vs. Central Valley on Monday as it will be Senior Night for the Lady Wolverines. They will also be in play Tuesday night at Beaver Falls - a crucial game for that third spot - and finally a tough battle Thursday night back home against the first place Beaver Bobcats.
