Greco named to WPIAL Girls All-Section Teams


 
 

The WPIAL has finally announced the Boys & Girls All-Section Teams, first reported by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette early this morning. Ellwood City’s very own Natalia Greco was named an All-Section player for 3A Section 1.

Natalia Greco finished with 251 points on the season along with 119 rebounds, 11 assists, 41 steals, and a team-leading 20 blocks. Greco averaged 10.7 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 1.8 SPG, and 0.9 BPG. Greco helped the young Lady Wolverines to a 13-10 overall record and first round trip to the playoffs against Carlynton.

Below is the information regarding how both the Boys and Girls selections were determined and the rest of the selections for 3A Section 1.

“About the teams: All-section teams were selected by section coaches. WPIAL and City League coaches were asked to pick a six-player team in order of preference. Six points were awarded for a first-place vote, five for a second, etc. The top five players were selected. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.”

  • Hayden Robinson - Avonworth - 35 Votes - 5-10 Sr. Forward - 16.4 PPG

  • Nadia Lape - Mohawk - 16 Votes - 5-5 So. Guard - 13.5 PPG

  • Natalia Greco - Ellwood City - 9 Votes - 5-8 Sr. Forward - 10.7 PPG
