Ellwood City 53 - Beaver Falls 48
3A Section 1
The Ellwood City Lady Wolverines took on a tough task against the Beaver Falls Tigers in a huge 3A Section 1 conference game Tuesday night. The Wolverines were looking to bounce back after a tough game the previous week against Neshannock, and they did just that, winning 53-48 over the Tigers.
The Wolverines had three players score in double figures including EC leading scorer Isabella Roth (15), Chloe Sturgeon (11), and Kyla Servick (10). Also contributing on the night was Natalia Greco (8), Maria Ioanilli (7), and Olivia Battaglia (2), for a total of 53 points.

The win brings the Lady Wolverines conference record to 2-3 and overall record to 6-4. The win puts Ellwood City back in 5th place in the conference, just outside of the playoff line - holding that spot for now is Mohawk, a team that the Wolverines will face this coming Thursday at Mohawk.
The Wolverines are averaging 49.2 PPG while giving up only 40.9 PPG. (492 points versus 409).
Two Wolverines are averaging double figures in points - Natalia Greco (11.3) and Isabella Roth (10.3) while Maria Ioanilli (11.6) is averaging double figures in rebounds.
