Wolverines Fall Short Against Beaver Falls
In spite of a solid performance from Steve Antuono with eight points, Ellwood City fell to Beaver Falls 77-47.
Wolverines had a great end to the first half, scoring a game-high 15 points during the second quarter.
Antuono led the charge for Ellwood’s offense, scoring eight points, with six points during the second period.
Ryan Gibbons (6 points) and Milo Sesti (6 points) each had multiple three-pointers. Also chipping in for Ellwood City were Broc Boariu (7 points, 9 rebounds, 1 steal), Rocco Sesti (6 points, 4 rebounds), Rick Pitrelli (5 points, 3 rebounds), Rody Polojac (5 points), Nathan Coonfare (2 points, 4 rebounds), and Sammy DiCaprio (2 points).
Ellwood City finished the game with 28 rebounds (8 offensive / 20 defensive) and two steals.
Next up for the Wolverines is a non-conference match-up on Saturday against the Shenango Wildcats (Away) with a 2 PM slated tip-off.
