Wolverines hold off Beavers offense, win first game on the season in OT

In a game where defense was at a premium (over 523 combined yards of offense), the Wolverines stopped four straight plays at their own 10 yard line in overtime against the Beavers’ stingy offense to give their offense a chance to score the winning points…and they did just so.

The Wolverines offense would not be stopped all day, rushing for 179 yards while adding 120 through the air as they used 2 plays on offense in overtime to score the winning touchdown to prevail victorious 27-21 on Saturday.

Scoring the winning touchdown was Brady Welsh who was just one week removed from play with an ankle injury during practice the past week.
