Wolverines split Tuesday & Wednesday Games, now 1-2 on the season
Wolverines Emerge victorious against Rochester (PA) - Tuesday
Broc Boariu's 26 points propelled Lincoln to a 64-41 victory over Rochester on Tuesday.
Wolverines pulled ahead early with an 18-point first quarter on the strength of a 9-2 run, eventually claiming a 34-20 lead by halftime.
Boariu had a great game from the field, making 50% (9-for-18) of shots attempted as well as 44% (4-for-9) of threes attempted. He also shot well from the line, making 80% (4-for-5) of free throws attempted.
Rick Pitrelli put two three-pointers on the board and scored 16 points total. Two other players also added ten or more points for Lincoln. Steve Antuono put up 11 points. Also helping the effort for Lincoln were Ryan Gibbons (6 points, 4 rebounds), Milo Sesti (2 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals), and Isiah Leos-Coleman (2 points).
Lincoln finished the game with 40 rebounds (14 offensive / 26 defensive), one block and 10 steals.
Wolverines Fall to Union Area - Wednesday
In spite of a solid performance from Steve Antuono with 15 points, Lincoln fell to Union Area 69-43. Union Area grabbed the lead against Wolverines on a free throw from Nate Meeks in the second period and held on.
Lincoln lost momentum quickly after scoring a game-high 13 points during the first quarter, trailing 39-22 by the half.
Antuono led the charge for Lincoln's offense, scoring 15 points, with seven points during the second period. He also contributed three rebounds and two steals.
Also helping the effort for Lincoln were Rocco Sesti (9 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals), Broc Boariu (5 points, 4 rebounds), Sammy DiCaprio (4 points, 2 rebounds), Ryan Gibbons (4 points, 4 rebounds), Milo Sesti (4 points, 1 rebound), and Rick Pitrelli (2 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block).
Lincoln finished the game with 27 rebounds (10 offensive / 17 defensive), one block and six steals.
