The W-Zone PIcks for Week One


Each week the W-Zone will predict certain team games that are on EC Wolverines' schedule during the year as well as local teams in the area.  Below are just a few of the great match-ups during week one.

W-ZONE GAME OF THE WEEK / BVCG

#2 Aliquippa (1-0) at #1 Beaver Falls (0-0) - Aliquippa wins 46-37 with an unstoppable running game via the powerful offensive line.

CLASS AAA BEAVER VALLEY CONFERENCE GAMES:

Ellwood City at Central Valley - Ellwood City makes a run in the end but Central Valley dominates the first half, cruising to a 35-21 win.

ELLWOOD CITY SCHEDULED TEAMS

Keystone Oaks at Valley Vikings - Keystone is no match for Valley, punches the "KO" winning 42-14.

Elizabeth Forward at Derry - Elizabeth dominates in all aspects of the offense, running the ball to a 38-20 win.

Freedom at Beaver - Beaver stays Wise as Darius Wise goes over 300+ scrimmage yards and 6 touchdowns, winning 49-7.

Quaker Valley at McGuffey - Too many new skill position players costs Quaker Valley's offense to have any tempo as McGuffey dominates early 35-21.

LOCAL GAMES

Steel Valley at Riverside - New coach, new offense, not in sync; Steel Valley cruises 42-20.

Laurel at Mohawk - Battle for the new division helps Laurel move the ball, winning 35-28.

New Brighton at South Side - New Brighton graduating too many reliable players causes for an early stumble, losing badly 46-14.

New Castle at Montour - May be the second best game on the schedule, New Castle bounces back after okay play against the Quips, win convincingly 42-28.
